I usually go for a protein smoothie shake as a post workout breakfast, or soak chia seeds in nut milk with protein powder and serve with berries. For something a little bit special, I was keen to try adding Kaizen Living wheatgrass to this layered creation for a burst of green goodness, which could be enjoyed either as a breakfast or dessert. I added hemp protein to this but it can be omitted depending on personal preference.
Ingredients:
- 3 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 cup coconut water
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp wheatgrass
- 1 scoop hemp protein powder (optional)
- 1-2 tbsp natural sweetener, to taste
- ½ cup frozen berries
- 1 banana
Get making!
- Soak the chia seeds in the vanilla, wheatgrass, hemp protein, sweetener and coconut water overnight.
- In the morning, layer up with berries (defrosted) and sliced banana and voila, a super healthy, colourful breakfast or pudding ready in minutes!
