A while ago, the wonderful Samantha Hadadi kindly shared her recipe for a healthy, clean eating protein NUTELLA – yes, the hazelnut chocolate spread that is as naughty for you as it is tasty. It’s certainly been a hit with you readers and I when I finally got round to making a batch, I used to make these Banana Protein Muffins – yum!
When I received a generous stash of superfood goodies from the lovely Creative Nature crew, hemp seeds and cacao powder were part of the package so I thought, why not create a similar nutty, chocolatey spread including these nutritious ingredients? Whizzed up and ready in under 10 minutes, the hemp seeds offer a slightly different but just as delicious taste, plus you could add other tastes accordingly; I went for vanilla but you could go down the caramel, cinnamon or even a cheeky alcohol infused one if you’re going indulgent!
Served with raw apple or celery chunks, added to a banana smoothie, spread on rye bread/oat crackers or used in baking, the possibilities are endless – give me a shout on Twitter or Instagram if you do, I’m always keen to know!
Chocolate Protein Hemp Seed Nutella

Simply put all of the ingredients in a blender and blitz well until smooth, or your preferred texture. You may need to stir a few times in between to make sure it’s evenly blended and mixed up. Transfer to a kilner jar or airtight container and keep in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Enjoy!
