When I’m eating out and have a naughty dessert, I usually go for a rich and creamy option – ice cream! When I recently discovered the concept of blending frozen bananas with other ingredients, including Creative Nature maca powder, this opened up a whole world of super healthy alternative flavours while still being able to enjoy a frozen dessert. Feel free to change around the ingredients I’ve used in this recipe, but this was a total winner for me – rich and creamy…but without the added sugar and any dairy!
To serve 1: 1 frozen banana (slices), 1 ripe avocado, 2 tsp Creative Nature maca powder, 2 tsp cocoa powder, 1-2 tbsp almond milk, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 tsp cinnamon.
Simply the the ingredients in a blender and pulse/whizz until you get a smooth consistency. This can take a little while for the banana to break down but be sure to stir in between blending so it all gets pureed. Serve in a glass or bowl with blueberries and desiccated coconut – or goji berries, nut butter, whatever you fancy!
